Report of the Performance Measurement Workgroup January 12, 2006 At the September 8, 2005 meeting, the AQA directed the Performance Measurement Workgroup to continue its work in expanding the starter set of measures. The Workgroup focused on developing efficiency (cost of care) measures, patient experience of care measures, and non-primary and sub-specialty care measures. The workgroup held a meeting on efficiency measures on November 2-3, 2005. The Cost of Care Measures Exploratory Task Force was created at that meeting and held their own meeting on November 30, 2005. An initial meeting was convened December 29th with the surgical specialties to discuss AQA’s objectives in regard to surgical performance measures.
