AQA Report of the Reporting Workgroup
January 12, 2006
At the September AQA meeting, the large stakeholder group directed the Reporting Workgroup to continue working towards finalizing the reporting principles that were approved as a “beta” set. The workgroup continues to recommend two sets of reporting principles directed to the appropriate stakeholders – (1) consumers/purchasers and (2) providers. The group recognizes that the richest source of data for purposes of reporting are the medical record; making data collection, in a way that minimizes burden, extremely important.
Objectives for the session:
- Reach consensus on the revised Principles for Public Reports on Health Care (see Tab A)
- Reach consensus on the revised Principles for Reporting to Physicians and Hospitals (see Tab B)
Materials:
TAB A: Revised Principles for Public Reports on Health Care
TAB B: Revised Principles for Reporting to Physicians and Hospitals
TAB C: Supplemental Materials
- Summaries of Reporting Workgroup conference calls
